A stop for the group during MidAmerica 02 Fest in 2011

Date: APRIL 27-28 2012 – Eureka Springs Arkansas

Mid America ’02 Fest takes place every year, late in April in Eureka Springs Arkansas.  There is no cost for this event, however we do offset our costs with sales of shirts, hats and other cool stuff so that anyone can attend our event just by showing up.

The event hotel is the Best Western Eureka Inn. Contact information is below. When calling them to register, please mention “BMW GROUP” to get preferred rates and rooms that adjoin other members of our group. Note that breakfast is provided for each nights stay in the price of the lodging.

  • There are other places to stay in Eureka Springs besides our location. There are several bed and breakfast locations and other hotels in the area that members have stayed at and can recommend.

EVENT AGENDA – 2012

Friday

  • Arrive at the Hotel and register

It’s best to arrive on Friday evening.  Signs will guide you to the event registration at the Hotel parking lot.
We don’t have a planned dinner arrangement but many like to visit the large selection of local cuisine in the Eureka Springs area.

TECHNICAL PRESENTATIONS – Friday night at the hotel.

  • Mike Self of the “Roundel Magazine” will present a tech presentation on ’02 Rust
  • Mike Pugh will provide a 2011 Bavaria Tour Slide Show
  • Tom Madine – presentation on how to photograph your 2002

Saturday

The overall sequence of events include a group drive, show, tech quiz, picnic, program, awards, and door prizes

  • Eat breakfast at the hotel and gas up!
  • We encourage you to bring anything you need to detail your car. We provide water and a wash area for several cars.
  • Please bring your spares/swap stuff to sell
  • Bring a camera as there will be plenty to take pictures of
  • Dinner is provided by the event outside. We have a great selection of food cooked by our members
  • Door prizes are raffled off by sponsors of the event
  • The Saturday evening event includes after dinner a program

Sunday

  • Breakfast at the hotel and you’re on your own. Other members may have some other non car events planned so watch the web site for detials.
