Nathan’s Journey to Fest 2012

One of the more interesting events to happen at our event happened this year. Bo Black writes, “My favorite story belongs Nathan H of Muscle Shoals, AL. Nathan loaded a newly acquired, non-running 02 on a trailer and hauled it to the event in hopes of finding help and parts to get it running. He worked all Friday until late and Saturday. Just before dinner he had it running.” Thanks to the many who helped Nathan get his 02 going strong. Nathan is the hard luck award winner for 2012.

We again set a new attendance record. The weather was unseasonably warm and even a bit humid.

Our fest this year is the biggest turn out yet. We have over 50+ 2002′s, and many other E30s, E28s, a Bavaria and a few M cars. We are enjoying dinner tonight with exceptionally warm weather.

Fest Travel Day is Friday!

It’s finally that great time when we load up our ’02s and head to Eureka Springs Arkansas.

The weather reports look a bit gloomy for some travel areas on Friday. Let’s hope the weather forecasters are wrong again.

Fest Friday Nights are the time we celebrate safe travels, enjoy an adult beverage to quench our thirsts and a bite of local cuisine after a long drive. Here’s hoping all your travels are safe ones today!

Fest Merchandise Update

The pre-order period is now over. You can order merchandise in the Fest Store and we will continue to fill orders on a first come, first served, COD at the fest basis.

The shirts are being printed this coming week and we have 41 fest sponsors this year!

With April here… well you know the next big things are happening.. MidAmerica’02 Fest is just days away.

As always, we’re busy behind the scenes getting ready.

Today, our store is open. The 2012 Fest apparel is now ready for pre-ordering in our Fest Store. The links are located here on the right navigation or by clicking the “FEST STORE” tab at at any time.

Remember that by default, all Apparel Orders in the store are paid COD as you arrive at the Fest and help to defray costs of putting the event on each year.

We have some exciting new stuff and some updated versions of popular sellers from the past few years. An example is our new 2012 Limited Edition shirt, shown at left. This year’s shirt features a rendering of Steve Good’s cool Baikal 73 2002.

If you want to buy but aren’t coming to the event… you can specify to have your order mailed after the Fest.

Celebrating 12 years of MidAmerica Fest…

April 29th will be here before you know it. The weather from Winter is starting to mellow out and soon we’ll have nice dry roads again.

Bo and I are putting finishing touches on the design of the artwork for the shirts.

Hope you are starting to make plans to join us and also to get your room reserved at the Best Western Eureka Inn.
